We all experience fear. But dealing with fear can be difficult, especially when we face significant challenges in life. How do we control it so it doesn’t lead us into despair? By trusting God.

Who is God? What is he like? What are his characteristics? If we believe that there is a Creator, then this Creator must have certain attributes. As Christians, we believe that Christ revealed God to us by the incarnation: the descent of Christ to the earth.

I have been involved in ministering to the poor and to impoverished communities for most of my life. Having learned many lessons along the way, I want to share them with you.

Who is Jesus Christ and why is he so important? And why would he be the center and main focus of the Christian faith? Other religions may have at their center a set of teachings and moral guidlines or spiritual practices. But the Christian faith is focused not mainly on practices or guidlines, but on the person of Jesus Christ. Why is this?

During the Reformation and into the 20th century, the Bible was translated into common languages, and evangelical believers were encouraged to read and study it on their own. This led to a revival of knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures.

Most students of Scripture make it a standard practice to study the meanings of key words and phrases to aid in understanding. Some have also ventured into study of the original languages. Many Christians then ask the question: “Is it necessary to study Greek to understand the New Testament?”

I’m sure you’ve heard the following questions before, or even asked them yourself: “So, if I don’t believe in Jesus, then I will be punished in hell forever?” “What about those who have never heard about Jesus, are they going to hell?” “Does God torture people forever?”
